A formal introduction...

Hello, fellow food connoisseurs. I am delighted that you have stumbled upon this humble little blog. First, I think it is appropriate that I provide a little background information as to the motivations behind this collection of fast-food criticism: My name is Simon Shuker and though I possess several advanced degrees in politics and natural history, as well as a Ph.D on the obscure feeding habits of the Malayan Tapir, I have found myself at a typical crossroads: Though I enjoyed extensive fieldwork in the Malayan Archipelago I felt myself yearning for something more.
Truth be told, I have always been passionate about food. I have lusted after it, as a married woman lusts after the protagonists in the novels of Nicholas Sparks. I have since decided to become a food critic. Though I dare-say I should be reviewing the elegant city restaurants of Sydney, I am (due to financial reasons) confined to the Central Coast of N.S.W. It follows that I have taken it upon myself to review the finest restaurants of this region. It is a shame that the finest restaurants here are fast-food restaurants.
